WSDOT Seattle Colman Dock Viaduct
Seattle, WA
Project Type
Rail, Transit, Bus
SCL Project Role
Quality Assurance Management and Quality Verification
Project Description
The WSDOT Colman Viaduct is Washington’s largest ferry terminal that provides transit throughout the Puget Sound for more than 10 million people. This project was part of a design for a new concrete walkway due to the terminals seismic vulnerability. During the process of this project, the walkway connected the southern slip to a temporary terminal so construction and access to this slip can remain while a new concrete walkway was being installed. Ferry service continues; however, ferry departures and arrivals have shifted due to this construction.
Scope of Work
SCL performed quality audits and surveillance as well as conducted quality management and verification services.
