Client was contracted to conduct an external review of the Regional Transportation Investment District (RTID) project cost estimates to ensure the best available estimate of cost to maximize the use of RTID funds while ensuring that projects would not overrun estimates. This included assessment and validation of budgets, schedules and scope of design projects in process at WSDOT.
Scope of Work
SCL assisted in conducting an external review of the Regional Transportation Investment District (RTID) Project cost estimates to provide the best available estimate of cost to maximize the use of RTID funds while ensuring that projects will not overrun estimates. SCL provided cost engineers; Cost Estimate Validation Process (CEVP) evaluators; field office mobilization, utiliites,/information systems support services, and quality assurance manual reviews for WSDOT’s $17 Billion RTID project. The firm’s work impaced over 75 highway, road, and bridge endeavors along the I-5 corridor. SCL also secured and managed the logistics of the downtown Seattle project office. Mr. Adams was special projects manager and senior cost estimating team leader.He also managed the daily activities of the administration office and conducted field inerviews of WSDOT field engineers, writing daily reviews, analyses, and status reports.
