Project Description

The Runway 14L-32R Rehabilitation and Taxiway A4-B3 Reconfiguration project at King County International Airport (KCIA) will rehabilitate Runway 14L-32R, also known as the utility runway, and its taxiway connectors by 2025, under a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant. The project is being completed in three phases, the first phase being planning, alternatives analysis, and predesign. Phase 2 will consist of design and bidding services and the third phase will include construction administration and project closeout services.

Scope of Work

SCL in collaboration with the Kimley-Horn Team, provided consulting services to King County Department of Executive Services, Airport Division (“County”) which include consultation for planned Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) federal action projects scheduled for 2021-2023. Additionally, SCL provided management support services and supported the project managers with document controls and administration services.
