Project Description
The Southeast Rail Extension (SERE), part of the RTD FasTracks program, builds an additional 2.3 miles of light rail line that extends the existing transit system from Lincoln Avenue to an end-of-line station at RidgeGate Parkway. The RidgeGate terminus includes 1,300 parking spaces as well as bus transfer and “kiss-n-ride” facilities. The project includes a 620-foot-long bridge over Lincoln Avenue, a 1,397-foot-long bridge over I-25, and a 506-foot-long bridge over RidgeGate Parkway.
Scope of Work
SCL developed the project Quality Management Plan (QMP), Design Quality Management Plan, and the Construction Quality Assurance Plan. Our firm was also tasked to review and audit the consultant team’s Final Design Quality Manual (FDQM), and attend project progress meetings. Our team of quality experts reviewed the interdisciplinary coordination plan for each contract package, developed progress reports, and contributed to the project completion letters. SCL was also taked to review and provide design document references for safety and security criteria conformance checklist items at 60%, 90% and 100%, quality training.
