Project Background
Located in the Cedar River watershed, the Morse Lake Pump Plant Project will replace Seattle Public Utilities' existing floating pump plants, which are beyond their expected service life. A new and reliable floating pump system will restore and stabilize the conveyance capacity of the Chester Morse Lake Outlet Channel so that SPU can continue to meet its current water supply and environmental commitments.
Systems Consulting, LLC acted as cost estimator and sequencing lead. Tasks included project management, design development, value engineering, contractor coordination, permit applications/ support, final design, estimate of probable construction costs, and assistance during the bidding process.
