SCL served as Project Manager for the sub-consultant to the prime CM firm through engineering final design review, pre-construction, construction, and final completion.

Project Background

The King County Solid Waste Division (SWD) operates the only remaining landfill in King County – the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill. The Cedar Hills Regional Landfill is not open to the general public for disposal of garbage. The 920-acre Cedar Hills Regional Landfill is located outside of Seattle and is owned by King County and operated by SWD. The landfill receives over 800,000 tons of solid waste a year. Construction management services included: preparation of the constructability review comments, construction administration plan, generation and maintenance of construction schedules, cost estimating, documents control, and field office administration. Provided primary support for the construction management observation activity on the site, managed all daily inspection logs, RFI’s, and submittal processing, provided communications to the construction team and the King County Project Manager of the project status.
