SCL served as Project Manager for the sub-consultant to the prime CM firm through engineering final design review, pre-construction, construction, and final completion.

Project Background

The King County Solid Waste Division (SWD) operates the only remaining landfill in King County the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill. The Cedar Hills Regional Landfill is not open to the general public for disposal of garbage. The 920-acre Cedar Hills Regional Landfill is located outside of Seattle and is owned by King County and operated by SWD. The landfill receives over 800,000 tons of solid waste a year. Construction management services included the closure of Area 6. Provide all necessary design services for the staged closure of Refuse Area 6. Responsible for Design landfill closure to include scheduling and document control services.
